Happy Halloween!

We have had a wonderful and very full Halloween this year! We went to Storybook Forrest last Monday (pictures not posted, so I will have to add them later) for FHE. We carved pumpkins with Bryn, Makenna, and my mom/dad. We carved 2 pumpkins at home and we went on Halloween to Pop's for lunch, then to the pumpkin patch by Arcadia Lake, and then took Addison out for her first trick-or-treat experience. Whew! We've been busy!
Addison didn't want to sit for a picture. . . there was too much to see!

Last time Addison was at a petting zoo, she didn't want to touch the animals. This time; however, she decided to pet them AND she even fed a goat at the very end of our trip.
This petting zoo had several little goats, a llama (Steve called it the vacuum because of how it ate food out of your hand), a couple of sheep, and one cow. Steve kept trying to feed the cow, but the cow's tongue kept knocking it off his hand. I had to teach Steve to cup the food right up to the cow's mouth. Don't feel too bad for the cow. . . it would push all the animals out of his way so he could get extra treats!

Cowgirl Addison!

There were lots of haystacks for the kids to play on. Steve and I took this picture right after a couple of mom's told their kids they couldn't play there because there were probably snakes around. . . we didn't find any though. :)
Climb up Addison!
Just kidding, Steve handed her to me!
Addison loved climbing up the haystack to get to the slide! She is a sucker for a slide!

This is a very small part of a really beautiful/very large fallen tree. I wanted to get a picture of it by itself, but too many people were around taking pics on it. I guess you will have to go see it for yourself!
Here is when Addison decided she wanted to try to feed the animals. I was very nervous about it. Steve kept saying it would be fine, but I was worried she would clench the food and an animal would bite her. It turned out fine though.
Addison tried to feed the cow, but ended up feeding the goats. They were the right height for her.

We ended our night by trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Addison was dressed as a jack-o-lantern!
Addison at her first door (our next door neighbors). It was funny, because they forgot it was Halloween (their lights were on, so don't blame me!), but they did have some dum dums on hand so it turned out okay.
Addison then went across the street to our other neighbor's house. She really acted like she had done this before!
Waiting for some candy!
We played the "look at the camera Addison" game a lot that night.
Daddy was a great helper, and he didn't eat as much of Addison's candy as you would think. :)
Admiring her loot.

Addison's first trick-or-treating loot. I think she did pretty good. She immediately ate her 4 small Reese's peanut butter cups before she went to bed. That was all the candy she wanted, and I think all the candy she could handle.

Neck-ercise!

I don't know why she does it, but Addison loves to put things under her chin. She will play it there and then look at you with this big "ta-dah" grin! You gotta love her.
Addison is still smiling, even though she has her first big bruise (you can probably see it on her cheek). Addison tripped over her own feet and then hit the door. The funny part is that she didn't hit the front or back side of the door, she hit the skinny part of the door!?! How can you protect your children from falling over their own feet and falling into the door? I don't know either.

Ta-dah!

Lil' puddin'

After munching down on pizza (one of Addison's favorite foods), Addison enjoyed some chocolate pudding that she helped mom make! Addison helped to pour in the milk and she helped to stir the pudding. Yummy!

Sweet as strawberries

After dinner, Addison decided she wanted to stand and her stool and eat some strawberries.
It was so cute because I would hand her one. She would lay it back down on the counter, pick it up by the green stem and then would eat a couple of bites before giving it back to me.
We love our sweet girl!

Mommy's little helper

Addison loves to help in the kitchen. Anytime I am cooking, Addison wants to be on her stool and usually likes to help a spatula to make sure she is helping!
Addison helped by testing the Rice Chex to make sure they were good and yummy for making Muddy Chex Mix!

I had to check and see if Addison was still sweet. . . yup she is!
Addison is making sure the Rice Chex doesn't go anywhere. . .
Addison helped to pour the ingredients in and she helped her daddy shake the bag when we were ready!

Ironically, when we were finished Addison decided she likes Rice Chex plain more than she likes Muddy Chex Mix! Oh well.

Hats off to you

Addison loves playing dress up. She walks around all the time putting hats, blankets, mom's clothes, dad's clothes etc. on top of her head!

She loves to draw whether with a pencil, pen, or crayons. She seems to prefer drawing on top of papers that belong to mommy and daddy and are important rather than the plain computer paper I try to give her. . . We may need to work on that.

We've been practicing finding our nose, eyes, and ears. She is showing daddy her nose right now.

When one popsicle isn't enough

When mommy decided she didn't want her popsicle, Addison was happy to help her out!

And yes, she did eat BOTH popsicles! How is my child so small?

The Pajama Game

Addison sleeping in a weird position. That explains the bedhead she often wakes up with!
Onesie pajamas can be a pain to put on, but they look so darn cute!

Daddy Daughter Days

Addison loves her daddy! They will playing peek-a-boo with mom behind the blanket!

They look so much alike! Steve plays it up big time, because anytime someone says how cute Addison is he reminds me that she looks like him. He says that means he must be cute too!
