Yes, I have tried to teach my child manners, but I don't think I can take credit for my little Miss Manners. Here are some of her favorite phrases:
1. "Thank you!"
Addison says "thank you" for almost anything. And if you don't say "you're welcome" back, she will keep saying "thank you" until you do! It is so cute the way she says it in her baby/toddler voice!
2. "Bless you"
It comes out more like "bless-oo," so it sounds even cuter. Addison usually says it multiple times after anyone sneezes, including herself!
3. "Please"
Not as popular as "thank you" or "bless you," but Addison does seem to have the "please" concept down pretty well.
It is so cute to see her using her manners! Now, if only I can get her to stop picking her nose. . .

2 Years, 2 Parties!
It may be because I have a January birthday that is constantly overshadowed by Christmas, but I love planning a huge birthday party for Addison. Addison's 1st birthday was a fun Princess and the Frog celebration, but this year was even more fun because I was able to plan the theme around something that Addison really loves: Animals. With a Jungle Animal's Theme in mind, I got to work planning. I hope your love the results!
Family birthday party
Addison had two birthday parties. One with just her family and the second birthday party with her daycare friends. Here is some of our family helping us celebrate at Grammy's house: Tyler, Bryn, Tom, Steve, Dennis, and Tyler Prescott.

There's cousin Nate, Danileigh, Makenna, and Luke
There were lots of blow-up animals for fun decoration/play and animal tails for the kids to wear! It was really inexpensive and lots of fun for the kids.
Makenna and Luke going for a ride on the tiger and the lion. GRRRR!
Nanna Brenda holding Addison. Thanks for helping making the spaghetti!
I found these really fun jungle sticker scenes that the kids could do for a fun activity. The kids loved creating their own jungle scene with the stickers.
Steve is realizing that Nate put a tail on him!
A daddy/daughter moment. We don't have many of those these days with Steve's work schedule, but Steve is really good about making the time he does have with Addison count!
Addison loved her banana flavored cupcakes. Thanks Aunt Missy!
Addison opening presents with her daddy.
Bryn tried to be sneaky and wanted to get Addison's presents. When Steve finally realized what Bryn was doing, Bryn gave him the biggest smile and handed him Addison's present! :)
Uh-oh! I think they are onto me. . .
Daycare Birthday Party
The day before the family birthday party, we had a party at Addison's daycare. I brought the decorations and Debbie put it all out before we showed up Friday morning. Debbie added the super cute luau roof, which really pulled the whole look together. took the day off of work to be there for all the fun. (Steve was also in town, so that was fun)
The table has these really fun animal face plates, monkey napkins, and each kid received their own animal head sippy cup. The treat boxes were adorable (animal's face on one side with the animal's bum on the other side). Inside each treat box of take home goodies: 2 animal suckers, 1 animal tail, 1 animal hat, and 1 animal head sippy cup. The kids LOVED them!
Here are the kids enjoying the animal tails, hats, and blow-up animals. It was so fun to see them all running around as their favorite animal. I put Addison in her zebra print romper for the event, which even came with a zebra in the front pocket!
Aunt Missy decorated our super cute cupcakes. The kids loved being able to pick which animal they wanted: zebra, lion, monkey, or elephant. YUM!
