Saturday

I actually took these pics a couple of weeks ago, but I thought they were pretty cute!

We had an interesting Saturday. On Friday morning, Addison had eye boogers and I was thinking maybe she has another ear infection. . . By Friday afternoon, Addison felt really warm. By Friday evening, Addison had a fever. Saturday morning, still had a fever and I was pretty sure it was an ear infection.
So, Steve and I take Addison to the doctor Saturday morning. . . . double ear infection. I can't believe that in the past month and a half Addison has had a double ear infection, rsv, a single ear infection, a cold virus, and now she has another double ear infection! I REALLY can't believe that she was completely healthy up to 8 1/2 months! Here's hoping we can get our healthy baby girl back. I miss her!
After going to the doctor, Addison and I did some baking. I was tired of waking up in the morning and trying to figure out what to feed Addison. She liked eating these blueberry muffins I had bought, but I kind of felt bad giving her these processed muffins, so I decided to bake some myself. After about 3 hours, I had made some low fat pumpkin muffins, low fat blueberry muffins, and some low fat biscuits for our family to share. I froze most of them, so I will have to see how they do when I defrost them. Don't laugh at me for making these low fat; I just think it weird to give Addison food that she won't really be able to eat as she gets older. Also, if they are low fat then Steve and I can enjoy them too! Addison really enjoyed eating the leftover blueberries that didn't make it into the batter; I guess that is another food we can add to her list of likes!

Oh. . . hello!

This past week every time I go in to pick up Addison after a nap she has been sitting up! It gets me every time. . . the unexpectedness of it. I open the door and "oh. . hello!" She gives me her big toothless grin (not toothless for long) :( and then I pick her up and get my wonderful hug. I love that my daughter gives a hug every time you pick her up after she's been sleeping!

RSV, a Double Ear Infection. . .and teething!

Our little trooper! So, first it was RSV. Then, she had a horrible weekend last week where she kept getting worse! I was so frustrated and worried because she had medication, so why wasn't she getting better? Monday, grammy took her back to the doctor where we found out that all of the mucus she had caused a double ear infection.
Addison has definitely been fussy lately (which has been interesting as Addison is NOT a fussy baby), but she is definitely improving. At this point, we are only giving her the medicine for the double ear infection and little tylenol occasionally. The tylenol is actually for her teething, not because of any lingering fever. I can't believe she's been dealing with her first tooth coming in at the same time! But, luckily, Addison is improving quickly and right now it is mostly just the cough and a little mucus that is left.

First Tooth!

It's official! Addison has cut her first tooth. After months of wondering if she was teething, feeling gums, looking for white spots. . .I came to pick up Addison today and grammy told me Addison had her first tooth. I smiled and laughed thinking that grammy, like many others, had falsely seen a white spot or felt a false lump in Addison's gums. But, not this time! She has a very tiny, sharp stump that is protruding right in the middle of her bottom gums. It's exciting having her hit this little milestone in her life, but I will miss her toothless grins. I'm just sorry that Addison got her first tooth while being sick with RSV!

Addison and RSV

I can't believe Addison made it 8 1/2 months before getting sick the first time and now, only two weeks later, Addison has gotten RSV! I picked Addison up after school and noticed she had a tiny bit of cough; it wasn't until that evening that Steve and I began to be concerned. The cough seemed to be a little deeper and more frequent than when I picked her up in the afternoon. By morning, our little Addison was having deep, wet coughs.
We are lucky we have a grammy who was willing to take Addison to the doctor while mommy was at work. We are very lucky to have caught it so quickly. We have Addison taking her medicine and doing some breathing treatments to try and shake this as quickly as possible. I have already seen a lot of improvement. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery!
