The Miracle of Traveling

Let me set the scene for you so you fully appreciate this little miracle. We drove up to Missouri for Steve's sister Trish (her baby Zackary was getting his baby blessing). We almost didn't even go as Steve was really sick, and I was starting to get sick myself. But, Saturday morning we were feeling well enough to drive so we went for it.
Okay, now for the miracle. That night the sleeping arrangements were for Addison to sleep in the same room as Lucas (3 yrs. old) and Steve and I would be in the living room on air mattresses. The room was really cold, so we had fire wood that we had to wake up every hour or two to put logs on to make sure it stayed warm. Lucas was refusing to go to bed, we were all up and talking/cleaning, Danileigh (1 1/2 yrs. old) was screaming her head off- I think you get the picture it was loud! So, I assumed that Addison would have this really rough night. Nope! Addison slept THE WHOLE NIGHT! I put her to bed at 8p.m. and she didn't wake up till 8a.m.! I couldn't believe it! I even went in there several times throughout the night to see if she was okay, but she was fine.
Now ask me how she's been sleeping since we got home. . . .back to the usual. She gets up at least once a night to breastfeed, and then every once in a while she will fuss and by the time I even get into her room to check on her she is back to sleep. So, Trish I'm going to need you to reenact that night and record the sounds etc. cause whatever it was really worked!

  1. was the room cooler that she was in at trish's? maybe you could put some white noise sounds in her room. maybe having it too quiet scares her. you never know!

  2. Seriously you want the screaming background noises, sure consider it done! LOL You could have another baby, but I think that night cured you guys of wanting kids close together! lol

Try the white noise thing, trun it up and get some sleep :o)

  3. Umm why don't you have me on your friend's list yet? Come on Danielle. It's www.jacobandkadie.blogpsot.com. ;)
Anyway, I know Eisley sleeps better when it's cooler in her room. Sounds weird, but that girl HATES when it gets too warm. And she falls asleep better to noise. So in conclusion, I agree with the post above. lol. I'm sorry she's still not sleeping. She'll get there!

  4. We do play music for her at night, but I think that maybe having a cooler room helped her sleep better. I think that night DID cure us from having kids close together! Kadie- sorry I hadn't added you to the list yet. It's on there now!
